Presentation Instructions

Oral and poster presentations

All the accepted papers will be presented in both oral and poster sessions in order to facilitate the detailed discussions.

  • The total time slot for each oral presentation is 15 minutes. It includes time for setting up and questions, but you can use the entire 15 minutes for presentation and answer to questions at the poster session.
  • Please show up for your session 15 minutes early or during the break before your session to test video compatibility.
  • We prepare a poster board (width 900mm x height 1530mm) for each paper where A0 portrait size is available. See for details. Push pins will be provided. Poster boards will be numbered. Your poster number will be the number beside your title in the printed program.

Submission Instructions

This workshop has two ways to receive paper submissions: via the main conference and workshop only.

Submissions via the main conference

When a paper is submitted to the main conference, the authors choose if they would like the paper to be considered as a paper of one of the workshops (including this workshop) in case the paper is rejected by the main conference. Once the paper is accepted by the main conference, the paper will be automatically withdrawn from its connected workshop. Papers rejected by the main conference that are connected with a workshop by the authors will be automatically passed to the workshop.

Papers conforming to the guidelines described below should be uploaded to the 3DV 2014 Submission Website (CMT)  - https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/3DV2014.

Submission deadline: July 9, 2014 - 6pm PT. (same as the main conference)

Supplementary materials: July 14, 2014 - 6pm PT.

Workshop only submissions

A paper can be submitted to this workshop only. In that case, the paper is reviewed by the workshop committee seperately from the main conference. The paper should be upladed to the 3DV 2014 Workshop on Dynamics Shape Measurement and Analysis 2014 (DSMA 2014) Submission Website (CMT)  - https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/DSMA2014.

Submission deadline: September 6, 2014. 6pm PT.

Supplementary materials: September 6, 2014. 6pm PT.

The file size limit for the main paper is 10MB and for the supplementary material is 10MB.

Decision

Decision on both papers submitted to this workshop only and those passed from the main conference are made at the same time by the workshop committee.

All accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society's Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and submitted to IEEE Xplore and CSDL.

Authors Instructions

A complete paper should be submitted in PDF format with no more than 8 pages in length and should adhere to the formatting guidelines described in the links below. It should describe original work within the topics of interest of 3DV. Papers with more than 8 pages or not following the formatting instructions will be rejected without review.

Anonymity: All reviewing will be double blind, so the paper must not include any information which allows the authors to be identified. For example, this might require that some references to the authors' previous work be left blank or that authors refer to their previous work in the third person. This is not optional. Papers that provide obvious identifying information will be rejected without review.

Confidentiality: 3DV 2014 reviewing is considered confidential. All reviewers are required to treat every manuscript they review as a confidential document and not to share or distribute materials under review for any reason other than to facilitate the reviewing of the submitted work. Reviewers are obligated to remove or destroy them after review.

Dual Submission: The 3DV conference publishes original, peer-reviewed, full papers. It does not accept dual submissions. By submitting a manuscript to 3DV 2014 workshop, the authors assert that it has not been previously published in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper which contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either has been or will be submitted during the 3DV 2014 review period to either a journal or a conference. 3DV also applies strict rules on plagiarism.

Supplementary Material: Supplemental material (additional PDF file, video) can also be uploaded to the submission site after you have created the paper entry and uploaded the PDF file. To ensure that the reviewers consult this material, please ensure that the file is easily readable with common players and codecs and correctly referred in the paper. Remember that the reviewers are NOT obliged to view the video, so it is to your advantage to make their life as easy as possible by ensuring its easy readability: details of format, tested player and version, codec, timing, etc. Please remember that the video contents should also be anonymized.
